Dave Marshall’s main interests are computer networks, operating systems and security. He updates and maintains a student lab of routers, switches, servers and workstations as well as staying current with Cisco CCNA and CCNP instructor certifications.
Dave started out in small computers and computer networking with Montana State Government and moved on to managing voice, data and video networks before starting a teaching career. He has also built and managed several educational institution and student lab networks.
His favorite classes are the network routing and switching classes. He has spent many recent summers getting and maintaining Cisco certifications as well as traveling and reading on a variety of technology subjects. He has recently started the Geographic Information Systems Certificate at Carroll and begun teaching courses in it.
