WELCOME
Carroll College’s philosophy is “the world is our classroom,” and key to that philosophy is our commitment to our international students. Last year, our college welcomed students from 13 countries on 5 continents. Their presence here added a unique flavor to this campus as they kindly shared their cultural heritage with our U.S. students. The understanding and mutual respect that evolves from this interaction year-after-year is truly the bedrock of world peace. Meanwhile, it certainly creates lifelong friendships between people from different lands and backgrounds.
At Carroll, we are proud of our reputation as a top academic institution with graduates going on to outstanding careers and the very best graduate schools. However, we are more than this. Carroll gives its students the winning edge, but it does so in a campus community that stresses enlightenment over just getting good grades. We offer community spirit, not the competition frenzy gripping many other institutions. We offer inclusion and openness, where all our students are able to discover where they fit in. Finding a place where you belong is important, and I encourage you to read more about the college, the campus and the people that make Carroll a warm and inviting learning environment for you.
In addition to Carroll’s strong academic character, the campus is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in the state of Montana’s capital city of Helena. This spectacular setting offers year-round recreation, beautiful surroundings and a safe community. One of the state’s greatest destinations for international visitors, Helena is well-known for its gracious hospitality and interest in other lands and cultures. The city is also close to world-famous attractions, including Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park, top-ranked ski resorts like Big Sky-Moonlight Basin and pristine rivers for fly-fishing and water sports enthusiasts.
