The Fulbright Scholar Program provides vital resources to Carroll's internationalization efforts.     For information on all Fulbright programs, please go to:  There are many programs from which to choose:

Traditional Fulbright Scholar Program
allows lecturing and/or research in another country/region for three months to one year. 

Fulbright Distinguished Chairs Program provides outstanding scholars with the opportunity to collaborate with their international colleagues in Europe, Russia, Australia, Brazil, Canada or Israel. 

Fulbright Senior Specialists Program is designed to provide short-term academic opportunities of two to six weeks for US faculty and professionals in selected disciplines.

Fulbright New Century Scholars Program (NCS) is a worldwide gathering of thirty outstanding scholars and professionals chosen to collaborate on a topic of international significance to advance the state of human understanding on that issue.

Fulbright International Education Administrators Seminars (IEA) chooses higher education administrators to deepen their understanding of either Germany, Korean or Japan in an intensive two - three week cultural immersion program. 

Fulbright German Studies Seminar is designed for 25 US scholars of German studies and other disciplines related to the annual seminar topic for a three week cultural immersion program.

Research Awards provide funding opportunities for scholars to conduct research and field work in the following:

  • Northeast and Southeast Asia Regional Research Program
  • European Union Affairs Program
