Honors Scholars Program Application Procedures
Freshmen who wish to participate in a four-year HSP curriculum at Carroll College are invited to apply by filling out the following requested information. Sophomores can participate if program openings are available, required courses are made-up, and their application is approved. Only students with a minimum 3.25 cumulative G.P.A. will be admitted into the Honors Scholars Program.  The application deadline is Wednesday, May 1.

  1. Prepare a cover sheet that includes the following information:
    • Name
    • Mailing Address
    • Intended Major and Minor
    • Phone
    • Cell Phone
  2. Submit a resume summarizing your extracurricular activities, awards earned, employment history, amateur or professional accomplishments, travel, and community service.
  3. Respond, in essay form, to the following question:
    What are the reasons you wish to participate in an Honors Scholars Program and what are the benefits you expect from participating in the program?
  4. Mail your coversheet, resume, and essay to:

Selection Process

The HSP Committee will review your application materials and admission file, which includes your completed college application and transcripts of secondary and undergraduate records (including official SAT, ACT, or ASSET scores).

To receive first priority admission to HSP for the academic year beginning the fall semester, return your completed admission application and HSP application materials on or before May 1.

HSP applications will be accepted until May 1 or until available positions are filled.
