Gifted students who are entering fifth grade through age 14 or entering ninth grade, whichever is later as of August 1, 2009, are eligible to apply. Each applicant will be required to provide two recommendation forms filled out by school personnel and complete questionnaire forms. To obtain recommendation and questionnaire forms, applicants must complete and return the information request card which can found on the pdf of the brochure or print the forms from this website when they become available in April. Previous Institute participants need not obtain recommendations.
Because the benefits of the Institute rely heavily on the interaction of students with peers and supervisors, the students are required to stay in Guadalupe Hall, which is located on Carroll College's campus. The students will be chaperoned by qualified college students and adults. Students will need to provide their own bedding and towels. Detailed lists of other necessary materials will be sent to each applicant. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served by Sodexho in the Carroll Campus Center.
Each participant is responsible for transportation to and from the Gifted Institute. Participants may not operate automobiles on Carroll's campus.
