LIKE LANGUAGES? LIKE TO TRAVEL? DO BOTH!

Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL) prepares students to teach English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to speakers of other languages in both international and domestic settings.

There is a huge demand for qualified TESOL professionals as English continues to become a common language in the areas of business and science. TESOL teachers are needed to assist with programs in business, education, government, medicine, the sciences as well as programs that work with refugees and immigrants of all ages.

You could find yourself teaching around the world, our in parts of the United States where there is a large population of non-native English speakers.  As the world gets smaller and more people try to learn English, qualified teachers are a must!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Carroll's TESOL program combines the teaching of practical skills and knowledge along with the latest  foreign language teaching theory to offer a truly complete program.  A bachelor's degree in TESOL is much more marketable than a certificate.

Carroll offers both a BA in TESOL for those wanting to teach outside of the US or in private language schools in the US and a BA in TESOL K-12 for those wanting to teach in the US in a public school setting.

TESOL K-12

Students pursuing a TESOL K-12 endorsement will be required to student teach outside of the Helena area.

GLOBAL OUTLOOK

I am glad I went into ESL teaching because I love what I am doing in Chile!
