Some of Theology Professor Jim Cross's research on Archbishop Raymond G. Hunthausen has been recently published in "Catholic Identity and the Laity" (Orbis Books 2009). As Carroll's Hunthausen Center for Peace and Social Justice is inaugurated, Dr. Cross explains how this Center can be guided especially by one of the Archbishop's pastoral letters. Cross's research included interviews of Archbishop Hunthausen and of Bishop George L. Thomas. This is Cross's second scholarly publication in the area of Catholic social thought in as many years.
