The Coordinating Committee is charged to:
- Oversee the events, activities and programs that will be part of the celebration and refer suggestions to the appropriate subcommittees for implementation
- Meet periodically to review the progress of the celebration plans and to receive reports and updates from the subcommittee chairs
- Assist in securing necessary funding

Centennial Celebration Planning Committee
In October 2004, the members of the Centennial Celebration Planning Committee met to begin planning for Carroll's centennial celebration in 2009. Excitement was high as people shared their memories and ideas for honoring the people who helped make Carroll the institution it is today. Hundreds of ideas surfaced and were categorized into academics, artistic, campaign, events, historical, mementos, service and planning. Read the original list (link).
In April 2005, members met again to prioritize the ideas within the various categories. Members of the foundational planning group have been reassigned to subcommittees. Many of the original ideas and new suggestions are moving forward. Links to the subcommittees outline the projects underway.
