The Helena Regional Airport is about a 10 min drive across town from campus. Northwest Airlines, Delta and Horizon Air (a branch of Alaska Air) fly into Helena. Connecting flights from Minneapolis/St. Paul, Salt Lake City and Seattle are most common for travelers flying in and out of Helena.
We are about a hour and a half drive from Missoula, Great Falls, Butte and Bozeman, which all also have airports. The airport codes for the airports in the area are:
Travel to Helena by train is a bit trickier. Amtrak's 'Empire Builder' passenger service's nearest stops are 4 hours by car to either Shelby, MT or Havre, MT. This has been an option for current Carroll students in the past as they catch a ride to the station with friends from the area.
From any direction it is a scenic drive to Helena, MT! Whether you are coming from the east, driving towards the Rocky Mountains, or coming over some mountain passes to get here - it is beautiful.
